Charlene Andrewlavage, a massage therapist at ULTIMA HAIR DESIGNERS SALON & SPA in Newton, NJ recently completed a course of study in Mastectomy and Breast Surgeries Massage. Ms. Andrewlavage studied under Cheryl Chapman who is a certified holistic registered nurse practitioner, Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and a National Certification Board approved continuing education provider and instructor for cancer and mastectomy massage.
Sussex County's incidence of breast cancer is the highest in the state. Due to this increase, the need for this specialized form of massage is essential. As a breast cancer survivor, Ms. Andrewlavage understands how beneficial her services are for women who have undergone mastectomy and other breast surgeries.
Ms. Andrewlavage is a graduate of the New Jersey School of Massage Therapy and has been practicing for 15 years. Besides her certification as a Mastectomy and Breast Surgery Massage Specialist, she utilizes Swedish and deep tissue massage, Shiatsu, Reflexology and Thai Yoga in her practice.
